Unfortunately we were not aware of this until recently. However we have considered these documents and in the main are supportive of the aspirations of the strategy, with two exceptions.
1.The inclusion of a proposed Junction 13a for the M1 just north of Junction 13. As the M1 at this point forms the boundary between MK and CBC – this is a matter for joint agreement between the two authorities, not a matter for unilateral statement, even if it was supported by the Highways Agency, which it is not.
2.We have concerns in respect of what is designated the Southern Bypass, extending from the A421 around Bletchley to the A4146, with its link to the A5 at the Brickhills and have asked for traffic flows assessment - as we have concerns that this will increase the amount of rat running traffic including HGVs trying to access the Junction 13 and the A507, impacting on Bow Brickhill, Woburn Sands and Aspley Guise.

A copy of the Society’s representation can be found in the Representation and Document Library of the web site under the heading Milton Keynes Council LTP3
